Also, Ty, I had a similar experience...I'm in the BMG music club, and normally its fine. I only buy when theres sales, etc. But sometimes they call and want to give me such a "great deal" by sending my 3 CDs and a certificate for 9 free ones. That would be fine...if there were 12 CDs I really wanted. It's 18 for each of the 3 u must buy...that makes $54. Each of the cds, free or not, have a S&H charge of $3, totaling $36. Thats $90 dollars!! True, in Sam Goody, 12 cds would run you about $200 or more. But I do not WANT 12 cds, therefore I do not want to take advantage of your "specail offer". It's ridiculous, cuz they say u qualify cuz ur an outstanding member, but u can rack up a $50 bill (of cds costing $8 or less, as that is the only time I buy them), not pay for a year, and as soon as u do, ur back in great standing. And they badger you, saying "but your going to buy these cds anyway, why not let us save u money?" No, actually, I dont think i would...and furthermore, you have to choose from a short list of cds they pick out for the initial 3. Its so ridiculous.
